Transport & Delivery
At your convenience we will arrange for the delivery of your purchased building to your location. A HGV vehicle (usually around 10 metres in length and fitted with a Lorry Mounted Crane - HIAB) is used to bring your building to you and to put it where you want to put it!
99% of the time this all goes fine; however! You should know, as good and as convenient as these delivery vehicles are there are limits to what they can do; as in where they can get to and what their cranes can achieve!
As a rule of thumb, any delivery vehicle must have firm, level ground to operate on and clear and unrestricted access in all directions.
Ideally it needs to be able to manoeuvre within the close positioning in order to end up being positioned side-on within just a few metres of where the building needs to go.
If, for example, a container needs to go over a house into a back garden or a large and heavy building needs to be lifted at an angle or end-on 25 metres from the vehicle then it would be fair to say we might struggle a bit!
Bottom line is if the building has to be returned and be redelivered transport costs can get pretty heavy!
Don't worry though! Please take comfort in that, over the years, there haven't been many places at all that we haven't managed to deliver buildings to and that we talk to you about this during the sales process and will advise if we foresee potential difficulty; we might even come and take a look if it sounds really awkward!
There is, unfortunately, a supplementary charge for our delivery and installation service but as we like to save our customers money wherever we can we would suggest you contact us so that we can give you a firm transport and installation cost for your project.
Thanks!
