What to look for in a portable or modular building
At Cabsite Portable Building Sales our collective experience in providing pre-owned, refurbished and new portable cabins and modular building solutions to a number of industries is over 50 years. We’ve picked up a thing or two about what best meets our customers’ needs over that time and this post gives you our top tips on what to consider in your search for portable buildings.
Who needs a portable building?
Anyone! Our customer base is varied; we work with individuals, we supply to all manner of small or medium companies who require additional workspace and to the biggest UK organisations including education, construction, engineering, manufacturing, airports, medical, laboratory and food preparation. We work with our customers to deliver tailored solutions to meet their budget and we deliver throughout the UK.
We love to design and create all manner of new space for all manner of uses; offices of all sizes and shapes, retail work areas, kitchens and canteens, meeting rooms and conference space, machine shops and technical storage buildings, drying rooms, toilets, showers and wet rooms, storage areas and technical facilities for many different uses. The more bespoke the better!
Whatever the use if, for example, you will be having visitors, a spacious area or meeting room set up may be preferable with a kitchen perhaps or if office workspace with partition walls or a technical food safe laboratory area suitable to accommodate specialised machinery is the requirement, we can provide it! We design and build tailored portable buildings and modular constructions for clients specifically.
How much space and time do you have to work with?
Installing projects and planning and delivering the construction involved in doing so is rigorously planned for any work or office space needed. Some buildings will be smaller with a need for a portable office perhaps and when space is at a premium our ability to tailor manufacture a portable or building to exactly match the available space can be crucial.
Equally, on larger scale projects a more specifically designed solution is usually needed. Modular buildings in this instance are ideal as they are completely flexible. As a more ‘permanent’ structure, they would match all requirements, will be designed specifically and be constructed over multiple stories if necessary, all to the most up to date Regulations and standards.
The six-bay building shown for example built for a site in Wrexham is a great example where more office welfare and retail space was provided over two floors much quicker than and at the fraction of a cost of a traditional construction:
How much experience does the supplier have?
As with all industries, there are “fly by night” portable cabin providers who care less about whether your building is a sound prospect or suitable for your needs and more about how much they can charge for a poor service.
This is where we at Cabsite separate ourselves from our competition. In our many years, we have delighted our customers time and time again. Our customers are happy to recommend us to their colleagues and even take the time to review our services. We pride ourselves on being a supplier our customers can trust. One of our customers Denise Lochhead, a senior facilities manager, said:
“I have worked with Cabsite delivering projects across the UK and the service I have received has been exceptional.
The team at Cabsite are highly professional and always deliver a high-quality product on time and within budget.
If you are looking at purchasing a new or second-hand portable building go to Cabsite you won’t be disappointed.”
